Best Biryani in Lahore under Rs. 400 — my top 5 picks

I've been on a biryani mission for the past 3 months, trying every major spot in Lahore. Here's my honest ranking:

1. Waris Nihari (Burns Road area) — Not just nihari! Their biryani is underrated. Rs. 320 for a full plate. The spice level is 10/10 and the rice is always perfectly cooked.

2. Butt Karahi — Yes they do biryani on weekends only. Rs. 280 per plate. Worth the wait.

3. Student Biryani (Lahore branch) — The Karachi legend has a Lahore branch now. Rs. 260 half plate. Still great.

4. Gawalmandi Biryani Wala — Street-side setup, huge pots, amazing aroma. Rs. 180 per plate.

5. Ravi Restaurant — Classic Lahore vibe, Rs. 350 full plate. The raita they serve is exceptional.
